In the society contemporary, the media constitutes of the basic factors in the formation of what comumente it is known as public opinion. (…) when if it applies to a subject that presents a weak tradition of research in Brazil, (…) the contents of the news articles of the media have the permission to reign alone (…) what it is seen, read and ear, through the media (…), it tends if to become the only measure standard of truth for the great majority of the Brazilian population. (CARLINI-COTRIM; ' ' The media in the manufacture of the panic: a study in the Brasil' ' -, 2003) Findo this set of subtemas above-mentioned, with dimensions different, however representative on the subject, we perceive that the same ones corroborate with the initial interest of the group in clarifying the position of the media as factor associated with the alimentary upheavals. 3.0? General Objective method? To verify, in the present time, if the media is seen as factor associated with the alimentary upheaval in areas to multidiscipline that they study the subject. Specific objectives? To argue the paper of the cultural context in the alimentary upheavals (anorexy and bulimia) from a perspective to multidiscipline and multiprofessional; To know as the professionals they inside appraise the media of the generating cultural context of alimentary upheaval.

Collection of data This study possesss character qualitative with the use of two techniques: a bibliographical revision (exploratrio study) more deepened and a proposal of interview half-structuralized (attached IV, on the subject, deriving of tables to multidiscipline (attached I the III) elaborated from this exploratrio study. In the first technique an ample bibliographical research of different dimensions on the considered subject was made. It had as objective to reach one better understanding of the alimentary upheavals and the factors to they associates. The conclusion of this technique assisted in the effectiveness of the job of second, that it dealt with the elaboration of a half-structuralized interview.
